Here is another story that you will not find at the Tyler Paper.

The Yes Committee has filed its final report and we have additional information regarding our previous “Follow The Money” story.  The final report demonstrates that the Yes Committee raised a total of $30,600.00.  The report also demonstrates that a total of 88% of this money was paid to “Dot the i.”  What is this company you may ask?  It is a political consulting company that is active in local politics.  It is owned in part by the wife of none other than  ----- wait for it-----  it is really good------  can you guess ------  No, not Judge Baker’s wife (but that was a good guess)-------- hold your breath ------  ROBERT DAVIS.  Okay now pick your jaw off the floor.

As the smoke settles from this little bomb shell, you may be asking yourself exactly who Robert Davis was protecting when he did his little tirade on Channel 56 before the election.  Was he protecting the county?  Was he protecting his wife’s client the Yes Committee?  Was he trying to protect his wife’s business?  All of the above?  It would have been nice to know this before the election.  But the Yes men did not disclose any expenditure until after the election.

It appears that the Davis family is making money coming and going with the County and the Yes men.  Robert Davis is being paid to ensure that certain documents are kept secret and to go on television to publicly attack a sitting District Court Judge.  Davis’ wife company in which she and a partner own is being paid a substantial amount of money (88% of the total raised) to try to get the bond proposal to pass.

Is Tyler really this small?  Or is Robert Davis just one more member of the good ‘ole boys network who think they can dictate to us what we should be doing and if we stand up to them their true colors are shown.
